The Historiale-Markt ...
has become a continuous and large-scale story of success. Each summer (and always on the last weekend in August), the Nikolai quarter offers colourful and vivid time-travel opportunities for families with and without children. They offer a hands-on experience for anyone. The alleys and market lines were already populated by Napoleon's soldiers, Prussian reformers, March Revolutionaries and Emperor Wilhelm II, as well as Heinrich Zille and his „Milljöh“ and the 1920´s in Berlin. Many restaurants offered dishes typical for the time.
The topic of the Historiale 2011 is the postwar period in Berlin – an exciting time and an event that everyone should visit!
